Why a puck screen?
Puck screens have developed a big following the past few years, and for good reason. They can help to buffer higher velocity water coming out of a group head dispersion screen, which has a tendency to erode the top of a puck and potentially induce channeling. They are great at acting as a sacrificial layer to keep your dispersion screen cleaner.
Compatible with all standard 58mm portafilters.
How to clean
Rinse under water immediately after use to clean. A follow-up with a steam wand spray helps remove finer particles from inside the mesh. A periodic soak with Cafetto or other coffee specific cleaner is highly effective at keeping them extra clean.
Materials
Stainless 316 marine grade 150um mesh, fused together at 2.0mm thick.
