Kinu M47 Phoenix Overview

After their factory was struck by a catastrophic fire in late 2018, Kinu rebounded impressively by introducing the M47 Phoenix. This new grinder maintains the high standards of the M47 series, featuring Black Fusion coated 47mm conical burrs and a precise grind adjustment system, but with the innovative use of ABS plastic to reduce weight and cost. 

Kinu effectively reduced the weight and cost of the M47 Classic by maintaining its core stainless steel components, including the grinder body, burrs, axle, grind adjustment, and handle arm. The transition to ABS plastic for the grinds catch, bean funnel, and internal bearing mounts was a strategic decision to lower costs while ensuring the mill remains a high-quality, affordable option for coffee enthusiasts.

Kinu grinders stand out by offering precise stepless adjustment, ensuring you can easily find and repeat the ideal grind setting. Each revolution of the adjustment knob features 50 distinct marks and a clearly indicated zero point, enabling precise changes down to 0.01 mm of burr movement. This precision is essential for perfecting espresso, V60, or batch brews, with the 47 mm Black Fusion coated burr performing exceptionally across all grind sizes.
